Right in the center of the town of Floyd, Virginia, the Green Man Inn is close walking distance from the town’s great attractions, yet set back from the street with a large lawn and green trees. We’re just down from the single stop light in the county, with convenient off-street parking. We’re easy to find and easy to walk to town attractions. Floyd is an eclectic mix of rural country and artistic hippies. Floyd has become world famous for its rollicking Friday Night Jamboree. On the weekend there is always foot-stomping good music at the Floyd Country Store, and live musical performances in most of the restaurants around town. In good weather, there are musicians and performers up and down the street and spilling out into the park in the town center, anything from a jug band, to Celtic harp music, to bluegrass and down-home folk music.
The Green Man Inn is a ground-floor three-room suite. You first walk into the living room with a fold out futon. On one side is the Autumn bedroom with a queen size bed tucked under arching branches, on the other side is the large Spring bedroom that can sleep two adults and one child in a bunk bed (the single top bunk can accommodate a child or young teen and the bottom futon can be used as a sofa or a double bed.) With sweet little touches like locally made organic soap in the bathroom, hand forged hooks and toilet tissue holder by a local blacksmith and art on the walls by Floyd artists we aim to give you a uniquely Floyd experience.
